Do you know why faith is vital? Because that's the only thing that we can depend on whenever we are stuck. That's the only thing that gives us hope when we are feeling void."Have faith", a phrase that we hear all the time when someone is comforting us. Have we ever thought deeply about it? Having faith to God especially. All of the trials that we have gone through, those have become a past. How did we get through it? Is it from us alone? Of course not. Everything in this world does not happen without God knows it.
"And with Him are the keys of the unseen treasures--nine knows them but He; and He knows what is in the land and the sea, and there falls not a leaf but He knows it, nor a grain in the darkness of the earth, nor anything green nor dry but (it is all) in a clear book"
Surah al-An'am: 59
He helped us through it. He gave us hope and light. Unseen, unpredictable, but never disappointing. Having faith is actually having hope. Together with effort, hope, faith and prayers, everything will go well. Yes, we were hurt with the tribulations and they do not call them tribulations for nothing. Each and every problem felt as if we we were drowning in the sea with the strong currents pushed us hard between the sharp rocks and the heavy water pressure and a little faith has made our hands reaching out for the shore.
Faith is not only needed after we have made our efforts, it is needed even before we start to do anything to solve the problems or right on when we are struck by trials. Because from then on, you'll start accompanying your efforts with faith.
